With a keen interest in cooking from as early as 7 years old, my career path has always involved cooking and its surrounding disciplines. This passion was further developed with the founding of my company – Island Events and Caterers, in 1996, a full service events company which offered catering, bar services, event décor, event rentals and staffing. In 2020 I rebranded with a view of diversifying the company’s product and service offering in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
To this end, Mark Chong’s Cooking Mastery was established with a revised approach to the art and business of cooking. I have developed a host of quality products and services to adjust to pandemic impacted market demands. These include fruit preserves, cooking classes and the creation of a cookbook with signature recipes. The benchmark of Mark Chong’s Cooking Mastery is built on our philosophy “Feel Good Food”. A feel good experience in its every aspect, from presentation to taste.
